Turning Name Dropping Into Art
Latest creation by Ivan Jenson painted with words
Burlington, VT - July 30, 2009 - Contemporary artist Ivan Jenson, best known for his bold-colored, "Picassoesque" portraits and as one of the Absolut Vodka artists during the early 90s, which included such famous artists as Andy Warhol and glass artist Hans Godo Frabel is no stranger to name dropping. His c.v. mentions a friendship with Malcom Forbes that resulted in the last commissioned portrait of the publishing tycoon.
Jenson's latest work isn't up for sale at Christie' auction house or hanging in a gallery in the Hampton's, but is in the form of a poem gracing the pages of nthWORD, a new online magazine that brings together poets, writers and visual artists. Jenson's poem titled "Name Dropping" features commissioned artwork by JW Miller of President Barack Obama and political commentator Rush Limbaugh. The artwork and poem is available online at: http://www.nthword.com/issue2/name_dropping.php
