Often referred to as "the foretold one", her use of natural settings, photo manipulation skills, and sixth sense for lighting demonstrate much promise.  Currently residing in Huntsville, AL, she has lived in Oregon and Colorado, drawing much inspiration from the landscape that surrounded her as well as the struggles she and her husband faced in the last two years (such as living out of a tent in a state park). Talissa Mehringer (Feathers) My work springs from a desire to create timeless representations of subconscious imagery and dreams. Art is my process of bringing to life, mind and soul processed experiences by capturing the cycle of rebirth and alchemical rejuvenation through depictions of decay and the beauty of altruistic suffering. It is driven by a blissful, passionate sadness that reaches beyond the surface routine of everyday life and its contemporary comings and goings. It is rooted deeply in the visceral emotions associated with life, death, and the human search for happiness. For me, the act of creating becomes an almost metaphysical tool which channels external negativity into something pure--a raw expression of human emotion leaving behind a feeling of contentment. What if this personal process served as a filter on a grander scheme by channeling and transforming universal bad...into universal good.... My drawings utilize classic cross-hatching techniques with textured layers of collage, paint, and grime to tap into the phantasmagoric realm of the subconscious while my music seeks to provide an auditory equivalent of the personal imagery--evoking nature of the visual arts. My film and video work is a culmination of these artistic intentions by striving to become direct visual interpretations of sound and music through the use of stop motion animation and non-dialog driven narrative elements. www.talissamehringer.com

Caleb Opp (DO NOT READ THIS) The life I lead, as a photographer is only the images I see at any given moment. I want to capture the way I absorb the world. When looking at the world we can only see what is straight in front of our brain, pieces, and us together with the rest. www.calebopp.com
